The echoes of the scandal that erupted on Sunday during Campus Polska in Olsztyn continue to reverberate.
Aleksandra Fedorska reported on social media that she had directed a question to the press spokesperson of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin regarding the Campus Polska event. "The Foundation, through its spokesperson Dr. Jochen Blind, does not wish to comment on this matter," she declared.
Shortly thereafter, the journalist published another post in which she reported that she had once again contacted the press spokesperson by phone.
Jochen Blind hangs up the phone. Very professional,
Fedorska reported.
In the past, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's website featured an invitation to the "Campus Polska Przyszlosci" event, claiming it was "a space for dialogue and meetings, created for active young people who want to have an impact on the future of their country."
On Sunday, during Campus Polska Przyszlosci, an incident occurred that made waves across the Polish media. During the evening dances, a group of young people loudly and repeatedly chanted a well-known vulgar slogan offensively attacking Law and Justice (PiS). The matter was all the more outrageous because two ministers of the current government were partying alongside the young people — Minister of Sport and Tourism Slawomir Nitras and Minister for EU Affairs Adam Szlapka.
After the recording leaked onto social media, a public uproar erupted. Eventually, Slawomir Nitras spoke up in an interview with Interia, saying that he "regrets that it happened" but "understands the emotions."
