The German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, affiliated with the CDU, conducts extensive operations in Poland. Our journalist Aleksandra Fedorska asked about the scale of project funding in Poland.
Regarding financial matters, especially those concerning our partners, we do not disclose information. This would violate the trust of both parties to the agreements, especially since our cooperation with partners is substantive in nature and is not limited solely to financial resources. As a non-profit operating in Poland, we submit financial documents to the appropriate Polish tax office, and our annual activity report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
the Foundation replied. It is unclear how disclosing funding would violate the trust of the contracting parties.
It is known that the German Adenauer Foundation is a partner of Campus Polska Przyszlosci, an initiative by Rafal Trzaskowski. Last year, Aleksandra Fedorska asked the Foundation's spokesperson about the funding of Campus.
Aleksandra Fedorska reported on social media that she had directed a question to the press spokesperson of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin regarding the Campus Polska event. "The Foundation, through its spokesperson Dr. Jochen Blind, does not wish to comment on this matter," she reported.
Shortly thereafter, the journalist published another post in which she reported that she had once again contacted the press spokesperson by phone.
Jochen Blind hangs up the phone. Very professional,
Fedorska recounted.
In the past, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's website featured an invitation to the "Campus Polska Przyszlosci" event, claiming it was "a space for dialogue and meetings, created for active young people who want to have an impact on the future of their country."
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (German: Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung) is a German non-governmental organization. It is a political foundation with a Christian-democratic profile, affiliated with the CDU. The Foundation is regarded as Germany's leading think tank and one of the most influential analytical centers in the world.
It has branches in numerous countries, where it runs a variety of projects.
The Germans themselves loudly complain about external attempts to interfere in their internal affairs.
